There is also a lovely UX touch where the RSVP button reappears top-right as you begin to scroll up again.

Juniper (Restaurant)

Juniper is a stunning restaurant template featuring a minimalistic layout.

Highlights include a unique home page divided up into the most convenient info a patron would need; food, drinks, location and contact details.

The dedicated menu pages are gorgeous too, featuring a spacious, mobile-friendly design. Coded menu’s always leave a stronger first impression, as you took the time and the visitor doesn’t need to download a bulky PDF.

FAQ: What about online bookings? If you are part of the OpenTable network, Squarespace 7.1 has a convenient integration. Use OpenTable Blocks to add restaurant reservation booking or waitlist signup to your site. OpenTable Blocks are a Premium feature available in Business and Commerce plans.

Paloma (Podcast, Blog)

Paloma is a template perfect for launching your new podcast.

Highlights include a spacious design and big imagery to boost your personal brand photos. Paloma could also be used as a personal journal with the podcast episode pages easily accommodating blog-style posts.

Quick Reminder! Pick a template based on design, not functionality. If you like the design you see, but are not seeing the pages or features you need? No problem, you can add any of Squarespace’s core features to any of their templates.

Nolan (Digital Agency, Portfolio)

Nolan is a dark-schemed portfolio template with full width case-studies.

The home page features a big intro image of you or your team followed by client logos and a featured project. Project pages begin with the overview text followed by a gorgeous full width image gallery.

Rey (Wedding, Event, RSVP)

Rey is a beautifully designed template suited for a wedding or event.

Highlights include a long-scrolling format, keeping all the content and imagery in a single page. There is also a lovely UX touch where the RSVP button reappears top-right as you begin to scroll up again.

Clune (Spa, Services)

Clune is a vibrant template suited for any boutique-style business.

Highlights include a refreshing arrangement of services on the home page, also encouraging the client to discover your backstory. All services link to a central booking page.

FAQ: How do clients book online? With Squarespace Scheduling, clients can quickly view your availability and book their own appointments or classes. They can even pay online and reschedule with a click. Never ask “what time works for you?” again.

Roseti (Non-Profit, Community)

Roseti is a wholesome template suited for non-profits or local communities.

Highlights include earthy color tones and eccentric typography to add personality to your cause or community. There is also a spotlight on events with the forthcoming being displayed on the home page.

Pazari (Portfolio, Photography)

Pazari is a portfolio template dividing your work into categories.

Features include a home category breakdown, each linking to gorgeous long-scrolling image galleries. I’m a big fan of minimal portfolios that let the imagery do the talking like this.

Waverly (Personal, Newsletter)

Waverly is a slick template suited for a personal brand.

Highlights include a strong intro image placement with alongside text encouraging a newsletter sign up (above the fold). Further down features event dates while encouraging further reading of their biography.

FAQ: Where do the email addresses go? Squarespace Email Campaigns allows anyone to gather email addresses, send marketing emails and analyze their email performance – all using the same Squarespace platform.

Colima (Yoga, Teaching)

Colima is template suited for a yoga studio or any instructor business.

Highlights include a big intro image of your studio setup with class types below. Just like Clune above, the template accommodates online class booking with ease.

Have you heard of Squarespace Extensions? The Squarespace and Zapier extension allows for hundreds of automated tasks (a.k.a. Zaps) like adding an event to Google Calendar, adding a lead to the Hubspot CRM or even creating a Slack notification.

Crosby (Online Store)

Finally, Crosby is striking template suited for any online store.

Highlights include a contemporary design with classy typography. Product pages are gorgeous with an uncluttered, distract-free check-out experience. I really like how the dark-schemed design enhances the store imagery.
