Below are 6 One Page websites we awarded “Most Loved” in June – hope you enjoy!
Navigating Responsibly (Case Study, Informational)
Incredible parallax scrolling One Pager providing information on what Danish Shipowners are doing to help with environmental and climate challenges. So much to love in this Single Page site but highlights are definitely that mobile navigation load animation, the stunning big typography and that seriously gorgeous load transition of the off-canvas case studies. Top work this by Danish digital agency, Spring/Summer. Easy contender for One Pager of the year.
Sam Reich (Personal)
Slick and minimal One Pager for comedian Sam Reich. Great reference to how smooth well-timed transitions make a huge difference to first impression. The horizontal scrolling career timeline is very impressive too. Final little shout to how the fun navigation items are renamed on mobile to accommodation the narrow space – smart.
Design Embraced (Portfolio)
Anthony Goodwin is back in our Most Loved category with a stellar One Page portfolio redesign. The unique Single Page website features AJAX loading portfolio items, awesome zoom transitions, glitch effects, big typography and gorgeously arranged big project imagery.
Love Fila (Product)
Vibrant One Pager showcasing the exclusive Fila clothing collection designed by French tennis legend, Marion Bartoli. If you hold your spacebar down for a few seconds, your screen pretty much explodes into a dazzling fashion show of the products. The interactive product accordion is really slick and loads up the relevant product image in the browser background. Also worth noting the blurred background image effect when you load up the accordion – lovely touch.
THIS (Portfolio)
Lovely parallax scrolling with big beautiful typography in this One Pager for German digital agency, THIS. The Single Page website intro features an impressive hover-sensitive parallax effect with the array of devices. Other features include a unique fixed right navigation, a very slick client logo (vertical) scroller and ends with a big footer with subtle map background and a looping video of the office space. (We’ve also just added the footer to our Big Footer Web Design references.)
Seedlip (Product)
Absolute jaw-dropping design in this One Pager promoting ‘Seedlip’ – the world’s first non-alcoholic spirits. The Single Page website is built into the Shopify framework with a slick off-canvas shopping cart integration. There is so much to love in this site; the whitespace, the stunning product shots (not to mention that branding), the cocktail recipe slider with downloadable PDF and this complementary typography blend of ‘Brown’ and ‘Baskersville’ fonts. Possibly the most gorgeously designed One Pager we’ve featured this year. Top work this by Rotate° from London!
Hope you enjoyed these stunning One Pagers from June! Big love to hosting provider Bluehost for sponsoring the round up:)

Instagram Advertising Basics: Get Started in B, A, and C
Advertising in Instagram can be tough, especially when competing with regular Instagram posts and the so-called marketing noise. Make your posts stand out through three basic points: let your company’s identity shine on your Instagram profile, create visually appealing content, and focus on the image or video while keeping a short yet interesting caption. Learn how to do these here.
Not long after camera phones were introduced, image-sharing sites, such as Flicker and Photobucket, came into the picture. (Heh.) Social media sites started to become popular in the following years, so the merging of the two was unavoidable. In 2010, founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger launched Instagram, and after almost six years, the site has grown into a community of more than half a billion “Instagrammers” with more than 300 million active daily users.
For any company, reaching out to millions of users every day is a potential gold mine. Advertising on Instagram is old news, but marketing noise has been around for a long time, too. The task is to make sure that an ad won’t be annoying for an Instagrammer. Otherwise, it’ll just be scrolled past.
Here are three basic things to make an ad clever, interesting, and, most importantly, effective.

Ask the UXperts: Finding and Planning Your Ideal Career Path — with Cory Lebson
July is all about careers here at UX Mastery, and if there’s one person that knows his stuff when it comes to UX careers, it’s Cory Lebson. After all, he literally wrote the book on it! Cory is author of The UX Careers Handbook and he is going to be honouring us with his presence as special guest for our next Ask the UXperts session, which is all about planning your UX career.
In this session we’ll be talking about UX Adventures, what employers look for in candidates, how to transition into UX without a formal education, how to decide which jobs to apply for based on your skill-set, and much, much more!
The Details
- Where: Our dedicated ‘Ask Cory’ Slack channel (You’ll need to request an invitation if you haven’t yet joined our Slack channel)
- When: 2pm Wednesday 27 July PDT or 7am Thursday 28 July AEST
(or find out what time that is for you)
Meet Cory Lebson

Cory has an MBA in marketing and technology management, as well as an MA in sociology and a BS in psychology. Cory is a past president of the User Experience Professionals Association (UXPA) International and is also a past president of the UXPA DC Chapter.
How to Ask Your Questions
If you can’t make the live session but have questions, we’d love to collect them ahead of time and we’ll ask Cory on your behalf. You can submit your questions here. We’ll publish the responses (along with the full transcript) in the days following the session.
Here are a few questions to get you thinking:
- What is a UX Adventure and how can it help with portfolio creation? (Clue: A UX adventure can be anything you do outside of your normal UX workflow that you enjoy doing but which also can help enhance your resume and validate your brand as a UX professional.)
- I have experience as a UX practitioner for a large brand. Do you have any tips for transitioning into agency work?
- I’m looking to step up into a leadership role. Do you have any advice around how to best position myself for that move?
How does Ask the UXperts work?
These sessions run for approximately an hour and best of all, they don’t cost a cent. We use a dedicated public Slack channel. That means that there is no audio or video, but a full transcript will be posted up on here in the days following the session.
