This Report Reveals the Most Effective Formats for Mobile Ads

The marketing industry is now quite reliant on digital forms of advertising because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up improving the reach of various awareness campaigns. However, not all forms of digital marketing are created equal. Reports show that around $450 billion will be spent on mobile oriented ads alone, and that comprises nearly 75% of the total ad dollars being spent on digital marketing with all things having been considered and taken into account.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that different formats for digital ads can offer very distinct results. The researchers at OMD Worldwide and Yahoo recently did a deep dive into various different mobile ad formats, and one realization that they came to was that the larger the ad, the more user attention span it could command.

Interscroller ads are static ads with comprise the entirety of a user’s screen after they have scrolled far enough, and they receive an average of 3.3 seconds of attention from users. This figure is also quite high for video interscrollers at 3 seconds total, although static ads are clearly able to command more user attention which makes them more effective than might have been the case otherwise.

2023 is shaping up to be a watershed year when it comes around. Mobile ads will increase in relevance and reach a total size of $515 billion. That will mean that around half of all media spending will go towards mobile ads, and that makes it important for marketers to use the right formats.

Funnelling lots of money into an ad might seem like it would do the trick, but in spite of the fact that this is the case the money would be wasted if the correct format is not used. Using interscroller ads instead of pre roll ads could get brands almost 30% extra attention time from consumers, and that mean the difference between the ad leaving an impression or getting forgotten not too long after it was seen.

TikTok Scams Are On The Rise And These Are The Most Common Ones To Look Out For

TikTok is a platform that many users simply can’t get enough of. But you’ll be shocked to find out that some scams are awfully real.

As the hub for all forms of short video content, users can’t get enough of the platform. And that’s why even the biggest tech giants can’t stop themselves from taking inspiration from TikTok’s algorithm.

Gen Z users claim they can’t live without it and each year, the app reports a massive rise in profits and revenue by the billions. And while the app does have a stringent array of rules and regulations that it swears by, you can’t help but imagine the number of people that end up getting scams.

People are losing hundreds of dollars because they’ve got no clue that they’re falling into a huge trap. So how does one know that something is suspicious? Well, it’s time to figure it out now!

Recently, we saw the app itself announce a new initiative that’s designed to make members cyber-smart.

Keeping in mind this immense popularity of staying safe on the app, here’s a noteworthy list of the top 5 scams that you should be aware of. So let’s take a look!

For starters, the biggest scam out there has to be linked to jobs. Let’s take the example of a journalist who recently posted about a job scam. He claims to be offered a huge sum of money for a job that he never applied for. He continued to get messages, threats, and more, forcing him to give his bank details. But this is just not one story. There are hundreds more like this!

A bunch of job offers through TikTok get views millions and make people want to apply in the hopes of making a quick buck. But little do they know, that desire for a quick buck is nothing but intense pain.

A lot of experts speak about how job scams come with a registration fee. Once you pay to register, they begin the recruitment process. But that’s not the case. All they really want is your money and other personal details.

Other scams are linked to investment schemes. Again, the money is the incentive but where a little investment goes a long way. Then they promise you to get high returns. The schemes are better known as pyramid and Ponzi schemes. The goal is to steer clear of any form of high-risk investments because you’ll be better safe than sorry as experts reveal.

Meanwhile, another commonly talked about scam had to do with romance. People are on the search to find a date while others are searching to have fun. Then there are those that want the perfect soulmate too.

The FBI has warned against such shocking behavior. They feel the time has come for people to wake up and stop getting fooled because ‘suiters’ are out there working as professionals. They’re on the lookout to get private details, ask for your money, and again, scam you.

Those that are a fan of Netflix may have watched the Tinder Swindler. And that show really opens your eyes in regards to what’s going on around the world and the consequences of finding love online.

Other scams such as copyright, account or email verification notices keep on making rounds on different platforms, and it's important for end users to be aware of them.

So as you can see, scams are definitely on the rise. Some are documented well and others, not so much. But whatever the case may be, one thing is for sure. TikTok is really working hard in raising awareness about how you as a user can stop yourself from being attacked.

Twitter’s New 3D ‘Twemoji’ Stickers Could Be The Next Big Trend On The Platform

Twemoji stickers were rolled out to the masses last week by Twitter and by the looks of it, this could slowly turn into the next big trend on the platform.

Talk about great creativity in terms of the app’s image editor, not to mention a fabulous replacement of 2D versions that are being replaced into bigger and better stickers.

We have to say that these new stickers are very shiny, appealing, and attractive. And it’s no wonder why users of the app are very intrigued by what’s on offer.

A few examples were put forward and it’s interesting to see how some users turn to collage art that utilizes 3D Twemoji as its integral part.

This just might be the next huge trend to take on board when we look at things from the perspective of marketing. Moreover, such stickers serve as the ultimate option in terms of stellar digital art pieces located on the app. But how exactly does the whole thing work?

H/T: Audrey Davis.

For starters, simply click an image using the camera seen on the app by pressing the composer button that has a + icon. Next, select the option for a camera that’s located on the screen’s bottom window. Then click an image using your smartphone’s camera and then press the ‘Use Photo’ to move it toward the editing stage.

Next up, you press on the image and then go on to select the icon designated for the smiley face that’s seen on the screen. This will bring up an array of different Twemoji options. Moreover, you can include nearly 25 different Twemojis in just one picture. This is expanded and really minimized in a manner that it fits epically.

It’s basically all about requiring a blank canvas picture to start off with and then including some Twemoij pictures to enhance the scene.

While we agree that such a trend won’t be lasting long, one thing is for sure. It’s definitely going to be worth a try and experimentation with your friends so you’re better accustomed to the trend. Moreover, you can even include a range of Twemoji options in your marketing strategy as a brand.

In the same way, you could be experimenting with something like this as a great way to get into exploring digital creations or be opposed to the concept as a whole. Both ways, it’s a great consideration worth your time.

Why customer service is so important in the gambling industry

With the just concluded international customer service week, and the gambling industry booming, it may not only be enough for punters to have access to different gaming packages but also get good value for their money. In any sense, good customer service is the lifeblood of any business, and the gaming industry is not an exception.

The gambling industry is very volatile, with customers able to get fast, vital, and reliable gaming information from platforms like casinotop10.hk which makes the switching costs low if they are not happy with the service they are receiving. So why is it essential for the industry to keep its customers happy?

First and foremost, the gambling industry is all about trust. Customers need to trust that businesses will pay out winnings promptly and fairly and that they won’t be taken advantage of. If a player doesn't trust a gambling site, they're not going to play there. It's as simple as that.

Secondly, customer service is important in the gambling industry because it’s a very competitive business. There are tons of different businesses all vying for customers, so if one company offers better customer service than another, that can be a big selling point.

Finally, customers who have a good experience with a gambling site are more likely to return and recommend it to others. This word-of-mouth advertising is invaluable for any business, but it is especially important in the gambling industry where reputation is everything.

What are some of the key ways to provide excellent customer service in gambling sites?

  • Make sure that there is someone available to answer questions 24/7. This could be through a live chat feature or an email address.
  • Ensure that all transactions are processed quickly and efficiently.
  • Offer a variety of payment methods so that customers can choose the one that suits them best.
  • Provide bonuses and promotions regularly to keep customers coming back.
  • Offer a VIP program for loyal customers with exclusive benefits.

What are some common customer service issues that arise in gambling sites?

There are a few common customer service issues that arise in gambling sites. One is related to account management, such as problems with logging in or resetting passwords. Another common issue is related to deposits and withdrawals, such as problems with processing payments or verifying identity. Finally, some customers may have questions or concerns about the games themselves, such as how to play or what the odds are.

The top things customers look for in a gambling site's customer service

1. Quick response time
It is important that all inquiries are handled promptly and efficiently. Players should never feel like they are being ignored or that their question is not important.

2. Knowledgeable about the product
It is also important for customer service representatives to be knowledgeable about the products and services that they are representing. This way, they can easily answer any questions that players may have.

3. A human touch
Once in a while, customers want to know that the person behind the call can resonate with them on a humanly level. This can encompass just having a humorous banter in the greetings, or being empathetic to their gaming problem.

How to handle difficult customers when working in a gambling site's customer service department

There are a few things you can do to deal with difficult customers when working in a gambling site's customer service department. First, try to understand the customer's issue and see if there is anything you can do to help resolve it. If the issue is out of your control, be honest with the customer and let them know what you can and cannot do. It is also important to stay calm and professional at all times, even if the customer is being rude or aggressive. If you feel like the situation is getting out of hand, you can always escalate it to a supervisor or manager.

What are the most important factors to consider when providing customer service in gambling sites?

The most important factor to consider when providing customer service in gambling sites is the age of the customer. This is because gambling is illegal for people under the age of 18. As such, it is important to ensure that your customer service team is able to verify the age of customers before they begin gambling.

Another important factor to consider is the level of experience that your customer service team has in dealing with gambling-related queries. This is because gambling can be a complex topic, and your team will need to be able to understand and explain the various rules and regulations surrounding it.

It is also important to have a good understanding of the different types of gambling that are available on your site, as this will allow you to provide customers with accurate information about what they can expect. Finally, it is also worth considering how you will deal with problem gamblers, as this can be a sensitive issue.

In conclusion, it is essential for gambling businesses to provide excellent customer service in order to create a positive experience for their customers and maintain a good reputation.

Only 10% of Companies Avoided Ransomware in 2022

Ransomware has been quite a troublesome factor for businesses because of the fact that this is the sort of thing that could potentially end up locking them out of essential databases and putting this sensitive information at risk of getting deleted if a ransom is not paid. Back in 2021, around 72.5% of organizations who were surveyed by SpyCloud said that they had faced some kind of ransomware attack, and that number has increased by 24% this year.

With all of that having been said and now out of the way, it is important to note that 90% of businesses who participated in this year’s edition of SpyCloud’s survey said that they had faced disruptions due to ransomware attacks. What makes this 24% increase all the more disturbing is that it happened despite an increase in investment in cybersecurity among all of the businesses that answered questions in this survey with all things having been considered and taken into account.

This survey involved over 300 IT professionals who specialize in the field of cybersecurity, as well as around 500 other employees that can provide some context on how their companies have fared in the past year. What this survey revealed was that companies may have invested in more robust cybersecurity solutions, but cybercriminals also managed to up the ante and increase their own efficacy so that they can bypass the new hurdles.

Another aspect of this report to consider is that it reveals how likely companies are to be targeted more than once. 50% of companies faced at least one repeat attack, whereas 20.3% faced anywhere from 6 to 10 attacks. A further 7.4% faced upwards of ten attacks within the span of a single year, and that leaves just 22% of companies who got away with a single attack.

It is far more likely that a ransomware attack would end up getting repeated in the future. Hence, companies don’t have a lot of time to find a permanent solution. They tend to use stopgap solutions and that just won’t cut it now that it has become a perennial problem for so many enterprises.

Facebook News Tab has its own Perks and Secrets

Facebook laid out its plan to launch a News tab to assist publishers worldwide. As part of a global program to grow the business and provide publishers with a safer platform, they have invested $1 billion.

In 2019, the Facebook news tab was launched for the first time in the United States to provide operators with authentic news. In addition, the news tab on Facebook is distinct from the newsfeed. It has a separate bar, where you can only find tidbits about issues and happenings worldwide.

The publisher has actively participated in publicizing news articles on Facebook News Tab. The publishers are writing articles without knowing who is controlling the Facebook News tab. It has been two years since its launch, and nobody is aware of secretive police handling the bulletin. Moreover, there are plenty of folks taking an active part in this endeavor, but the number of these workers is undisclosed.

A recent report demonstrated by Press Gazette has exposed information regarding the Facebook news tab. An insider tells them that half of the publishers have signed a contract with Upday's, a company associated with Axel Springer of Germany. Freelancers have been handling the Facebook News Tab.

Additionally, it is the responsibility of these curators to verify the news's veracity by perusing the frequent headlines. Additionally, they decide which announcement to broadcast and are in charge of preventing the publication of any sensitive content. Facebook discourages journalists from advertising sensual articles and emphasizes important news more than anything else.

Upday's manages the Facebook news tab for Meta, but the contract is said to end in April of next year. Since the Facebook News tab's future is not determined, publishers' and freelancers' futures are likely to change.

Because so many businesses have contributed to New Tab's success, it has generated a significant amount of revenue for the organization. The company has invested $500,000 to keep in touch with Meta for three years, as Press Gazette published the story.

The Wall Street Journal receives more than $10 million annually, The New York Times more than $20 million annually, and The Washington Post more than 15 million annually, according to the study.

Additionally, Upday’s contract with Meta brought many remote publishers to manage news and cooperate with the foundation. The editors have said to work for Facebook because the labor isn’t hectic, and they are getting paid well. They have also said that the work was mundane and dreary, they have to work for eight hours, and their shift runs between 6 am to 2 pm, 2 pm to 10 pm, and 10 pm to 6 am.

Even though the work was monotonous and uninteresting, they had the advantage of having easy money and a good life balance. Compared to other news mediums like Al Jazeera, Reuters, and the BBC. In a recent event, Facebook prevents its freelancers from working with other businesses. They have compelled them to sign a contract that prohibits them from collaborating with other UK and US news outlets.

Since the new contract prevents them from working in any other news media, it was a deal breaker for many producers. They are only allowed to work on the Facebook News tab under the terms of the contract; however, there is a rumor that Upday is allowing originators to work full-time on the Facebook Tab. However, the Press Gazette found no proof of any indication of the said contract.
