Happy 2016, y'all! Just like many of you (I'm guessing), I always feel a sense of tabula rasa after the New Year. Anything is possible! It's a time to make resolutions and goals for the coming year, a time to think about how I am going to improve. After writing my 2015 retrospective piece, I had the genius idea of writing a 2016 planning piece for Ruby. As I was piecing together the things I think Ruby should aim for, I realized that my opinion on the subject is far too narrow. Plus, I am not an expert in the vein of some more well-known Rubyist. I am Joe Schmoe Rubyist. I work with it daily, I've been doing so for a long time, but there are others that are far more qualified and still others who have other points-of-view.
