Public relations have been shown to assist various B2B companies in creating well-established brands. But did you know that 43% of them fail to use editorial coverage as the ideal tool to enable sales?
The news comes thanks to this new study who says B2B marketers hail public relations with the highest of regards. According to them, nearly 74% is responsible for the likes of new business strategies popping up.
On the other hand, we see 41% talk about how more than 80% or more of the leads that are qualified in marketing come via the likes of PR. And the average response in such conditions is 74%.
We all know that public relations are not the easiest task of them all. It’s really complicated and it needs a grasp of several elements that entail how to make an entire email list. But this study stuck to the benefits of PR as a whole.
Those who participated in the study went as far as citing a few objectives worth a mention.
60% spike in generating trust, offering credibility, and providing validation. In the same way, 54% spoke about producing more awareness of the brand and then another 54% had to do with nurturing sales conversations. 50% had to do with lead generation and 46% mentioned how an increase in demand for both products and services was linked to this.
It’s thanks to the likes of Vanson Bourne who conducted the survey. His target market included 100 different senior-level marketers that were present in B2B firms. So as you can see, the benefits are plenty but overlooking PR isn’t the wisest decision. What do you think?

Ransomware Attacks In 2022 Affected 200 Larger Firms In The US Including Education And Health, Report Claims
The year 2022 may be over but a new report is highlighting how nearly 200 bigger American firms were subject to a ransomware attack. And this includes those hailing from sectors like education, government, and health.
Data for this striking new report had been collected through the likes of internal leaks, disclosure statements, public reports, and even the dark web. It proves how hackers ended up selling data in 50% of such attacks that were done in the most sophisticated manner.
The picture is a little skewed but based on the stats placed in front of us, we’re seeing a massive ransomware threat in America which struck a whopping 105 counties. In the same way, 44 different colleges and universities were saved as well as 45 school districts. Also, around 24 healthcare providers had been involved in this terrifying ordeal.
One cybersecurity firm Emsisoft has put ahead such statistics that underline the victims getting involved. Less was linked to the likes of the public sector but more had to do with the likes of the private sector, as per the report. Emsisoft says that such incidents are alarming and some researchers also did miss out on more so the figure provided is just an estimate.
Hence, these figures need to be looked at in a more conservative manner regarding ransomware threats across America as they can’t be used to definitively create a trend.
But such incidents which affect the likes of the public sector really need to consider further as data on such matters are more consistent, the report explained. Due to the acts of this, information gets served as a hit toward ransomware activity in today’s private sector.
Looking at attacks conducted in the year 2021, we saw ransomware attacks take on an increasingly dangerous role. It grew from 77 to 105 but this figure is not too different from what we saw a few years back. During that time, 113 incidents had been recorded.
The researchers noted how the estimated figure for this year had really gotten affected thanks to a major incident that arose in Miller County. It spread to nearly 55 different counties.
Meanwhile, the report also highlights how there was only a local government body that paid such hackers, and they lost $500,000 to those individuals as per Emsisoft’s findings.

MrBeast’s Mindblowing 2022 Challenges On YouTube Saw Him Give Away $3 Million In Cash
There is no surprise as to who is the award winner for the world’s most popular YouTuber.
Jimmy Donaldson who is better known as MrBeast put up a staggering 15 videos in the year 2022. And each one was full of intrigue and excitement. But alongside, they came with some fabulous giveaways. And by that, we mean nearly $3 million in cash.
Moreover, one participant was also seen getting the prize of a jet that cost nearly $2.5 million while another was rewarded with the likes of a private island too. Wow, how’s that for some insane and valuable prizes.
Today, this content creator has nearly 124 million subscribers on the app and he really does go all out in terms of putting huge budget videos alongside major cash rewards.
In November of last year, we saw him exceed the 111 million subscriber mark on the app and a few days later, he overtook another fellow content creator by the name of PewDiePie. In the end, he turned into the person with the most subscribers that YouTube has ever seen. And we can only wonder why.
Videos are very large in scale and they have massive prizes attached to them. And that’s why they’re going viral across the board. One of his biggest hits has to be Squid Game in Real Life which arose in November of 2021. Here is where we saw so many contestants compete for the staggering $456,000 reward on a video that was viewed more than 329 million times.
Then in the year 2022, the main channel put up posts nearly 15 times and the winning streak continued with a long list of challenges and some huge cash incentives.
You watch and participate, and you get rewarded. It’s as simple as that and we loved it. Moreover, one contestant even took part in an escape room to win $100k. In one of his first videos of last year, he made the world’s most dangerous escape room and that had people fascinated so much.
Hence, the participant that really trekked through rooms filled with spikes and snakes to win $100k. But that was just the beginning of his mighty challenges. We saw other huge challenges like tightrope walking through canyons and winning $240k for fans. And then more and more challenges followed soon after that too. Every challenge is unique and jaw-dropping and very different from the next.
One challenge had a man spending time in a basement alone for 22 days. This way, he would be able to purchase an engagement ring for his lover. Every day he survived, he received nearly 10k per day. And in total, he lived for 22 days.
On the other hand, there was another video that won hearts across the board. This was the famous Charlie and the Chocolate Factory one that saw him give away $613k. It’s undoubtedly one of the most viral and sought-after videos as 10 people were given the chance to win a whole factory that he made to host such a challenge. This would also allow for it to cash into the property for $500k.
The person who stood until the end of the series and passed all those candy challenges from eating chocolates to baking goodies was a YouTuber named Dallin Lambert and he got the mega cash prize. The runner-ups also got something special and no one went home disappointed, that’s for sure.
One other viral video was themed around the battle of the sexes where teams stayed in an enclosure for a few days. The women’s side won $500k, where both men's and women's teams remained in the enclosure for 100 hours. The winning team took home $500k and each member got $5k.

Many of the Sectors Fell Victim to Data Breaching in 2022 And the Finance and Insurance Sector Was At the Top of the List
According to a new report, it was found that insurance and finance businesses were the most affected by data breaches in 2022. As a result, these sectors have lost a lot of important data to unauthorized individuals. One of the biggest reasons why actors are attracted to the finance and insurance sectors is because they make a lot of money. In many insurance and finance companies, a lot of sensitive data like banking and accounts information is involved and once bad actors get to them, they can have access to all of it. This is more than stealing a username and password because the financial information of an individual is more important. After all, it holds a lot of valuable data.
A survey by Flashpoint’s Year In Review: 2022 Financial Threat Landscape put forward the top economic sectors which fell victim to data hack in 2022. Finance and Insurance were at the top of the list and Healthcare and Social Assistance were after it. Public Administration was the third sector with the most data breaching cases. The other sectors included Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services, Educational Services, and Unknown Organizations. Overall, Flashpoint highlighted 566 data hacks from where over 254 million records got leaked.
Another thing worth mentioning is that Finance and Insurance weren't at the top spot for sectors with the most ransomware attacks. The finance sector just experienced 55% ransomware attacks in 2022 as compared to other sectors. In 2022, overall 66% of economic sectors fell prey to ransomware attacks. As these attacks are increasing, the people working in Finance and Insurance sectors should get proper training known as Security Awareness Training which will help them with cybersecurity, attack vectors, and tactics to keep the data safe. Flashpoint also reported that much of the data breaches happen at the hands of inexperienced and new employees because most of the time they do not know what they are doing and unconsciously give the data to an unauthorized party.

Toyota Wins the Battle of Being the Longest Lasting Car - Concerning Miles
Cars built in the 1960s and 1970s barely passed the 100,000 miles mark. That is not the case anymore. Now cars pass the 200,000 miles mark easily before they fall apart or some problem arises.
In a recent study, data of 2 million cars were analyzed from January to October 2022. The study was conducted to check which cars could pass the 200,000 miles benchmark. All kinds of cars weren’t included since newer models have upgraded features. Car models produced in the last ten years were excluded from the study.
What was interesting is that all the cars in the Sedan and Hatchback list, except for one, that made it to the top 10 list were Japanese-manufactured cars. The one that was not made in Japan was the Chevrolet Impala. It is the most commonly used car in the US and is rented out the most too.
Another interesting fact was that the only Luxury brand present on the list was Lexus. Does this mean that luxury cars aren’t made to last? We hope not. Another reason could be that Lexus and Toyota share similar internal components meaning Lexus is as sturdy as Toyota.
In the SUV list, both Japanese and American cars shared an equal ratio with Toyota Tundra leading the way. Among the Truck list, Japanese models lead the way in terms of durability but American ones win the popularity contest here.
Another kind tested was Electric cars. Due to the 10-year constraint, only 2 models could be tested. One of these belongs to Toyota while the other is a Nissan. The comparison between these and fuel-run cars isn’t fair. Electric cars don’t show promising results but then how long have they even been around? We will have to wait at least another 10 years until we can assess their capability.
For now, Toyota cars are leading the way since they’ve occupied the list like no other brand.

Believing in a Lack of Control on Future Boosts Self-Esteem for Introverts: Study
According to a recent study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, believing that the future is beyond human control can increase self-esteem in people with introverted personality types.
The study, conducted by researchers at the University of Michigan, involved recruiting participants from a large midwestern university and administering a series of questionnaires to measure their levels of introversion, belief in personal control, and self-esteem. The researchers found that introverts who believed that the future was beyond their control had higher self-esteem compared to those who believed that they had control over their future.
This finding is significant because low self-esteem is often associated with several negative outcomes, such as depression and anxiety. By identifying a factor that can increase self-esteem in introverts, researchers may be able to develop interventions to improve the mental health of this group.
The study's lead author, Dr. Emily Smith, noted that the findings may be particularly relevant in the current COVID-19 pandemic, which has disrupted many people's plans and created a sense of uncertainty about the future. "Given the current global situation, it's natural for people to feel like they have less control over their future," said Dr. Smith. "Our study suggests that this loss of control may be especially beneficial for introverts, who tend to be more introspective and reflective by nature."
The researchers also found that introverts who believed they had control over their future had lower self-esteem compared to those who believed the future was beyond their control. This suggests that the relationship between belief in personal control and self-esteem may be more complex for introverts than for extroverts.
The study has some limitations, including its reliance on self-report measures and its focus on a single university sample. Further research is needed to replicate and extend these findings to a more diverse population.
Despite these limitations, the study's findings have important implications for mental health professionals working with introverted individuals. Rather than focusing on increasing belief in personal control, interventions may be more effective if they focus on helping introverts accept and cope with a lack of control.
In conclusion, the study published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology found that believing that the future is beyond human control can increase self-esteem in introverts. This finding has potential implications for the development of interventions to improve the mental health of introverted individuals. However, more research is needed to replicate and extend these findings to a more diverse population.

A New Survey Shows the Most Used Apps by Gen Z, YouTube Takes the Top Spot
Gen Z is more into visual experiences than social and expressive and that's the reason why they use YouTube the most. According to a new survey by MorningConsult, it was found that YouTube is the most used app by one-third of Gen Z all around the world. YouTube took the top position in the survey by 88%, where 96% of males and 84% of Gen Zers used the app. Right next to YouTube was Instagram which isn't a big shock as Gen Z loves using this app all the time. Overall, Instagram is used by 76% of Gen Z but the female ratio is more than that of males. 80% of female Gen Zers use Instagram while 73% of boys use it.
The thing that is quite shocking is that TikTok should be number one but it's the third. Well, maybe it's not Gen Z who is using this app the most. 68% of overall Gen Z use this app with 75% of girls and 62% of boys. Maybe TikTok is still growing among youngsters and the results will be quite different next year. Next on the list is Snapchat because Gen Z loves sending snaps and creating streaks on the app. 67% of Gen Z use this app, right behind TikTok. Guess it's a battle between these two apps about who will take over Gen Z. 70% of female Gen Zers use this app while the percentage for boys is 64%.
The next is Facebook which has completely become an app for millennials. Gen Z doesn't like using this app as they find it boring and for the elderly. Only 49% of Gen Z use this app from time to time, including 54% of females and 45% of males. Twitter is also becoming quite popular among Gen Z but not much as only 47% like using it with 40% females. 54% of male Gen Zers use Twitter for quite some reasons.
Other apps in the list are Discord, Reddit, Twitch, and BeReal, and overall 35%, 30%, 24%, and 15% use these apps respectively.
The survey also found out that more than half of Gen Z spend more than 4 hours on social media every day. This survey shows that Gen Z is more inclined towards using apps that have visual elements while apps like Facebook and Twitter are the platforms for discussions. This shows the mindsets of people born between 1997-2012 and how their preference for social media apps concludes their thought processes.
